David Sánchez-Tembleque is the Managing Partner of Alsis Funds. He is responsible for the general management and strategic direction of the Company. Prior to founding Alsis Funds, Mr. Sánchez-Tembleque was CEO of Latin America’s largest residential developer, then NYSE and MSE listed Homex, and Deputy General Director of Strategic Planning and Finance (CFO) of Latin America’s largest mortgage lender, INFONAVIT. He also held several senior management positions in BBVA, where he served as Deputy General Director of Corporate Financing and Investor Relations. Mr. Sánchez-Tembleque holds an MBA from Tulane University in USA and an Economics degree from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Xavier González-Sanfeliu is a Partner of Alsis Funds. He is responsible for the investment’s syndication and funding for Alsis Funds. Mr. González-Sanfeliu served as Managing Director of Latin America Structured Finance at Biscayne Bay Group, a financial advisory firm focused on arranging asset-backed securitizations and commercial real estate investments in Latin America. He also served as Vice President of the Latin America Asset Based Finance Group of Bear Stearns, where he structured and placed structured transactions backed by a variety of asset classes, such as mortgage and tax receivables. He previously served as an Investment Banker with Chase Manhattan Bank’s Latin America Corporate Finance division. Mr. González-Sanfeliu was also a Senior Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand with its Real Estate Portfolio Management Group and a Consultant for the International Monetary Fund. Mr. González-Sanfeliu holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a B.Com (cum laude) in International Business from McGill University.
Orlando Méndez is a Partner of Alsis Funds. He is responsible for leading the structured finance team. Since joining Alsis Funds in 2009, Mr. Méndez has been involved in the investment process of private credit transactions across multiple industries in Mexico, Latin America, and Spain. Mr. Méndez also coordinates the analysis, structuring, and negotiation of investments, he is also responsible for the Investment Committee transaction presentations, in addition to his participation in the due diligence process and in transaction closings. Mr. Méndez began his career at Banco Santander. Mr. Méndez holds a BBA in Management and a BS in Economics from University of Oviedo in Spain. Mr. Méndez is a Board Member of Compromiso Asturias XXI, a Spanish Think-Tank working towards the Principado de Asturias (Spain) economic development.
Luis Alberto Burgos is responsible for the finance area of Alsis Funds. Since joining Alsis Funds, Mr. Burgos has been part of the origination and structuring, finance and administration, and the asset management teams and has been involved in investment analysis and structuring, financial planning, investments valuation, currency hedging, investor relations, fundraising, and asset management activities for the firm. Mr. Burgos began his career at Investar Capital Partners, a US-based private equity firm focused on investments in private equity funds, real estate projects, and direct investments in companies. Mr. Burgos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from ITESM and a sustainability certification by BIVA.
Angel García is Managing Director of Operations of Alsis Funds. He is responsible for the integral coordination in the automation of policies and processes in each of Alsis Funds’ areas. Mr. Garcia has had experience as a Manager in the areas of Tax Collection, Finance Administration, Portfolio Management and General Accountant at INFONAVIT, a financial institution in charge of providing financial solutions with mortgage loans, serving the housing needs within Mexico. Mr. Garcia also served various positions at Homex, BBVA and PwC. Mr. Garcia holds a degree in Public Accounting from La Salle University, where he graduated with honors, and postgraduate studies in Strategic Planning from IPADE.

Daniel Leal is responsible for asset management and marketing at Alsis Funds. He has extensive experience in mortgages and consumer credit, portfolio collection, marketing, and real estate sales. He is a former President of the Mexican Association of Mortgage Bankers. Prior to this position he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Homex, one of the leading development companies in Latin America where he led the sales force. He developed his professional career at BBVA for 17 years, the last three as Mortgage Director. Daniel was responsible for the purchase negotiations between the financial institution Hipotecaria Nacional and BBVA, creating a new division for the Bank. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and has studied various courses and seminars related to real estate at ITAM, IESE, IPADE, and Tecnologico de Monterrey.
Arturo Zamora is the Legal Director at Alsis Funds and is responsible for documenting the investments approved by the investment committee as well as the corporate area of the firm. Mr. Zamora has more than 15 years of experience in the financial, corporate and real estate law industry. Mr. Zamora held various positions in different notaries in Mexico City, being responsible for managing customers portfolio in different industries. Additionally, Mr. Zamora has advised multiple companies on corporate matters and money laundering prevention. Mr. Zamora has a Law Degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he also served as a teacher for 10 years.
Jaime Valerio is the Legal Counsel of Alsis Funds and is responsible for the judicial collections of the company. Mr. Valerio has over 20 years of experience in finance, corporate, and banking law. Mr. Valerio is Founding Partner of Valerio y Asociados S.C., a law firm focused on corporate and banking law. Prior to founding Valerio y Asociados S.C., Mr. Valerio served as General Legal Coordinator at INFONAVIT, the Latin America largest mortgage lender. Prior to INFONAVIT, Mr. Valerio held several positions at Bancomext, Fenix Administracion de Activos (a Mexican Deutsche Bank subsidiary), and at BBVA. Mr. Valerio holds a Law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho and postgraduate studies from Universidad Panamericana.
Guillermo joined Alsis in early 2020, he is currently a senior analyst in the structured finance area where he analyzes new opportunities for housing investments and follows up on the current portfolio. Guillermo holds a degree in Financial Management from the ITAM and is a CFA level 2 candidate.
Omar is responsible for the documentation custody and of providing support for the management of the Alsis Funds portfolio, following up on the obligations contained in the loan agreements and also providing support to the various areas of Alsis Funds. He has been with the firm for 6 years and has more than 15 years of experience in the litigation, corporate, and real estate law industry. Prior to joining Alsis Funds, Mr. Vidal held various positions in the public and private sector, providing advice and representation in multiple areas of law, among which his activities with INFONAVIT stand out. Mr. Vidal holds a Law Degree from UNAM, where he obtained a specialization in Computer Law.
Sergio joined Alsis Funds in 2022, he is part of structured finance team, where he is focused on the asset management and marketing for portfolio. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Administration from Universidad Panamericana
Jorge joined Alsis Funds in 2021 and holds a degree in Finance and Administration from Universidad Panamericana. He is currently a CFA level 1 candidate and is certified as an Investment Strategy Advisor by the AMIB.
Edgar joined Alsis in 2021 and is an analyst in finance team. He holds a degree in Economics and Finance from ITESM.
Eva joined Alsis in 2022 and is an ESG analyst in the Finance team. She holds a degree in Sustainable Development from ITESM.
Alejandra Ruiz is responsible for the treasury at Alsis Funds. Prior to joining Alsis Funds, she worked as Housing Improvements Project Coordinator at CONAVI. Her professional Development was at INFONAVIT where she was General Treasurer and Credit Implementation and Placement Networks Manager, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of all improvement products. Prior to joining INFONAVIT, Ms. Ruiz worked at BBVA as Financial Analysis of Treasury and Markets Manager and in the International Area. Ms. Ruiz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and Finance from Universidad Panamericana.
Mariela Figueroa is the controller for Alsis Funds. Ms. Figueroa has over 15 years of experience in the financial and accounting industries. Prior to joining Alsis Funds, Ms. Figueroa worked as an investment banker in the Global Leverage Finance group at Merrill Lynch in New York City. Ms. Figueroa also worked as a finance and accounting consultant for various companies in Miami and Puerto Rico. Ms. Figueroa graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Accounting major from the University of Puerto, School of Business Administration; she also holds a Fashion Merchandising Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Ms. Figueroa is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Mauricio joined Alsis Funds in 2019, prior to joining Alsis Funds, Mr. Durán collaborated in the finance area of a company focused on environmental monitoring working in the elaboration and analysis of financial statements. He also has experience working in the area of economic research and analysis in the Graduate Program of Economics at UNAM, as well as support in the elaboration of two research books. Mauricio holds a degree in Economics from UNAM, where he graduated with honors and with a specialization in Finance.
Itzel is responsible for the Mexico Accounting at Alsis Funds. She holds Bachelor’s Degree in Public Accounting with certification in NIF (Financial Reporting Standards in Mexico) from the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial. She has more than seven years of experience in the financial sector, where she has worked in the preparation of financial statements, analysis of regulations and applicable changes in NIF, coordination and review of the audit, as well as the issuance and review of provisional, definitive, annual, and informative taxes, control, and reporting to the SAT and RNIE.
Georgina joined Alsis Funds in 2015, she has extensive knowledge of the financial sector (mortgage/corporate) within the commercial, operations, and credit analysis areas. Georgina also has extensive experience in corporate credit management and administration and portfolio recovery. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from UVM, as well as courses related to credit administration.
María Isabel has more than 30 years of experience in companies in the financial sector. She is currently in charge the general office administration and human resources. Previously, she was Assistant Manager of Portfolio Budget Administration at INFONAVIT, she also was assistant to the CEO at INFONAVIT. She held the position of assistant to the deputy director in various areas in BBVA. María Isabel has a technical degree in Finance and Banking Credit from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
